Cinema mode
One click and the page dims around the video while it grows big. Nothing else asks for your attention.
Choose how big the video plays, and the dim's color and darkness.

In the beginning was the video player, and the player was without form, and void. There was no speed button. There was no cinema. And the page was black, or white, and nothing else.
Scrolls 1 : 1
And, lo, the player was given form, the page was given color, the people were given dominion over all images, the column blocks, and the feed, and it was good.

Click to pause, not shop
Click a video in an ad and it plays or pauses, like any other video. It no longer whisks you off to the advertiser's website in a new tab.
The advertiser's link below the video still works. The ad stays; you just stop being ambushed by it.
Liber Secundus
Appearance
Of light, of color, and the return of Dim.
๐, transfigured
Your own background
๐ took away its Dim theme in 2026. X-Alted brings it back, and more, for both light and dark themes: colors, gradients, a selection of 32 patterns, or a picture as ๐'s background.
Pick one of fourteen 4K background images, or use your own. With built-in dimming adjustments, and text automatically adjusted to stay readable.
Any accent color
๐ allows only six. X-Alted offers the rainbow. Pick any color for buttons, links and highlights.
Liber Tertius
Browsing
Of wandering the feed, and the temptations therein.
Manna, on demand
Refresh, refreshed
Point at For you or Following and a Refresh button appears under it, to load new posts whenever you want. So the blue "See new posts" pill that floats over the feed can go.
And you can make x.com always load on Following, or a pinned list, or on the feed you used last, instead of the For You feed.
Illuminated marginalia
More GIFs, plus memes
An optional new button in the post box opens the KLIPY library, which offers a larger selection of GIFs than X's native GIF button, plus meme images.
Search and click to add to a post or comment.
